Present Continuous Tense

What It Is:

We use the Present Continuous Tense to talk about actions happening right now or around this moment.

Formula:

Subject + am/is/are + verb + ing

Examples:

  • I am reading an article.

  • She is studying for her exam.

  • They are playing football outside.

  • You are learning English tenses now!

Common Time Words:

  • now

  • at the moment

  • today

  • currently
